It has been pointed out that language is ultimately unstable, subject to shifting definitions, and usually imprecise to begin with. But the instability of words varies considerably--some words appear to have kept their essential meaning since Indo-European times, while others seem to have acquired new meanings in the last few months. I have faith that with careful writing, a stable, interpretable document can be achieved.
